Tiina Sikanen, Principle Investigator – Chemical Microsystems
Academy of Finland research fellow, Title of docent (adjunct prof.) in pharmaceutical chemistry and Head of the Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology and Chemical Microsystems research unit, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Helsinki.
Tiina´s research centers around bioinspired microfluidics applied to drug metabolism and sustainable pharmacy. She has authored >70 peer-reviewed original research articles (full papers, proceedings) in recognized international journals, 1 book chapter and 1 review, >60 conference papers, and 4 invention disclosures. Editorial Advisory Board member of Sustainable Chemistry and Pharmacy (journal) and Tehcnical Program Committee Member of The International Conferences on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences (MicroTAS), Transducers, and The Green and Sustainable Chemistry Conference. National representative of the IUPAC Division of Chemistry and the Environment. Board Member of the Finnish Pharmaceutical Society.
